FOLDER EXTRACTION

Joomla has been the easiest software that I have ever known to be so for web designing with a lot of good features such as login form, registry form, poll, and many others

You might have been thinking of how you can install it into your computer system because this is in a zip folder and you have been wondering how on earth can this be installed into your computer system don’t worry this just a little tutorial out of many that people have written on this particular operations

GETTING STARTED

First of all you have to get the joomla zip folder from this blog or someway else, then download it to your computer system.

Also make sure that you have a XAMPP server that will make it possible for you to access it.

If you already have the XAMPP server then you move to your local disc and open the XAMPP folder from your c:\ when you open this then move to the htdocs from the XAMPP folder on your hard disc and open it

When you open this then you just create a folder in there and name it either joomla or any other name that you wish to use in the accessibility of the joomal software when you install it.

After the new folder creation then you just move back to the zip folder that that you have just downloaded from the internet and right click on it, scroll to extract all and then click to extract the folder to the particular folder which you have created on the htdocs from c

Immediately you click the extract all option from the folder then you just need to click on the next button and the dialog box will change.

Then this time around asking you to browse the folder that you want to extract it into

then all you need to do at this stage is to click on the browse button to lead you to the joomla folder that you have created recently on the hard disc.(hard disc (c:\) à xampp à htdoc à joomla folder)

Then just click on the ok button to start rhe extraction from the zip folder the after the extraction the you need to click on the next button and then finish. After that the folder will automatically show on your desktop if the show check box is marked during the installation of the joomla zip folder. If the document shows after the installtio the just close it and move to your XAMPP server software and open the control panel just by double click on it on the desktop shortcut icon on the desktop.

JOOMLA DATABASE CREATION

Then start the XAMPP server and begin running  then you just need to click on the admin for the my sql this will open your default browser, and if the my sql is running then the the browser will load the my sql and the create the database there.

Once your sql admin is open now is time for you to create the database that will enable you to be able to open the joomla software or zip code. Start by writing the name of your database it can be joomla_database as wrote down here and then click on the create button to create your database note you have to remember the name of the database because we will be using it later to install the joomla software

The at the tab bars on that environment that you have just created the joomla database just click on the privilege tab and do the following setup.

At the down side of the page click on the Add new user

And then do the following settings :

User name : your desirable name

Host : localhost

Password : your own password

 

After this particular setting then click on the grant all privilege on wildcard name

Then click on the check all on the down side of this above option then the options down will be check

The go down the page and click on the go button ten a page will be open to tell you that you have created the new user

JOOMLA INSTALLATION

Open your browse window and type in your joomla address this way http://localhost/joomla_name that you wrote on the htdocs in your local disc

This will open the joomla installation page for you. This is the page that you will begin your joomla installation

Then click on the next button at the right hand side of your computer system, then next again. When the next page also open, then you click on the next button once again to begin the main installation.

A page will display containing this options below and then you have to fill in the database account that you created on the my sql page. Type the following as well as the selection

Database type

MYSQL

 Host Name

Localhost

User Name

Joomla_username

The user name you added during your add new user account in the database

Password

The password you added during your add new user account in the database

Database Name

The name of the databse that you created befor the add new user account

and then next on the right hand side of the computer system

Then the next page you have to jump it by clicking on the next button at the right hand side of the page and then do the remaining settings which contains the following

This is the name of the site that you really wants to create, write the name in here

In here you write  your email, your admin username which you have to leave it in the admin name then the password. Note the bellow account is use for your logging in to your joomla account after the installtion

This is use to add some of the samples of joomla website

You have to click on the install sample to continue

Then click on the next button to continue.

This opens a window for you, asking you to delete the installation folder before you can use joomla software from the hard disc area

After the deletion the come back to your window and click on the administration button to lead you to the login page and the login to use your software
