How to use the launch dialog box. This is the dialog box that appears immediately you launch your adobe Photoshop to be able to set up some things in your window as you launch it like the type of canvas to be use either transparent or white or adding a specific color to the background as well as the foreground

These are the likely things that you may see over there so to set up your window canvas very well you need to follow this steps to do that

lets start with the Name and the Preset options as written in the box above the name this don’t have to be confusing because all document must posses a title you can use this to add the title to your work if you wish to do so

And that of the Preset is use to select the type of canvas that you need as you can see that this posses the photo option and there are other options their picture canvas for the web or for mobile phones etc

this is really the place that it all lies  if you want the photo or image or the diagram to be in the vertical standard picture which is 5*7 format the you have to select the portrait 5*7 format not the landscape format is in the flat form. This option is normally use by the those that normally edit picture bellow is the particular one use for setting up for diagrams like hyperlinked banners and so on 

 as I said earlier this is the particular on use in setting up for banners or other diagrams such as the hyperlinked banner which when clicked links to other page in the web or other web page you can use something of 30 width and 20 height to set up for your hyperlinked banner but first of all you need to change the place been defaulted by inches to pixels to be able to use the value that I ajust listed above but if really you need it in inches you can set it in any value you wish to use you can also as well select percentage at the the place the inches is been placed if you will love to use it like you can use something of this nature 10% to 15% for the width and the height values of the banner  

in these places you can select the color that you need for your background and for the foreground

Under that option that has the white value there you can select the if you want the background to be whiteor

To be transparent to make the canvas transparent means you want the image to be view to be able to resize and add another image also when you clean up the background of the image it can be place at any article and the article will show on the background that has been remove but when you use the white option the removed place or background will be in white sheet and it will cover the article to be placed and will not give it the real shape that you need which the image only this also goes to the background color option this is how this option is been use when you launch the adobe window you have to first of all select the background color and the foreground color this picture below shows the how to choose this options to select the background color you have to first of all click on the down space and select the background color and the upper space for the foreground color click to select

After this entire work click on the ok button and your background will be set according to the options you select

Note to edit pictures such as removing the image back ground you have to use the transparent option but to set up for the hyperlinked diagram us the white or the background color option

We are going to be doing the hyperlinked banner here.

Here we are going to enter into an advance method of using adobe photoshop this is the method of using the gradients, pattern and so on

When you click on this icon under the layer all you have to do is to click on any options bellow and the dialog box will appear containing all the options that you saw before you clicked on the option that you clicked  the circled icon is  note if your are using cs2 version immediately you click on that icon the dialog box appears but am using the css3 this you have to choose those options one after the other

Under that icon you will see there options here is the simple descriptions on some of those options

Pattern : When you click on this option the it will display different patterns for you all you need to do is to click on the dirable one that you need for application

Note this pattern appears to the background if the back ground layer is been selected and it will appear to any layer that you selected before clikin on then option pattern

Level :this is use to increase the darkness of the color you apply to a particular layer in the working or to increase the darkness of someone hair remember you will select it using the polygonal lasso

 

to do this you have to use the circled icon to drag to the main area you need note be watching the thing that you are working on because it will change continuesly as you work on it

Gradient: this is use to make your background color or any other color according to the layer that you selected to be transparent

This is use in two ways which are

You may wish to add color to the layer first and then move to the gradient option to make it transparent I will explain now

You might also wish to add the color directly when you oprn your gradient option boxby clicking on those colors this is the box bellow

Use the style to add any type of gradient style to the background or the diagram or text apply and see by clicking on that style drop down arrow

Use the angle with the round circle to rotate the style the style may be Angle, linear, Diamond and so on use it and see

Click on the gradient drop down arrow and choose the type of transparent you wish to us when you double click on the color you selected then the this diagram bellow will appear and then position the transparent and the color to your desirable position by dragging the icons on the transparent picture watch your diagram that you are applying it to and see the changes.
